After the hugely successful 2012 launch, Synergy Festival 2013 is back in Cape Town on the 30th & 31st November as well as 1 December at Theewaters Sports Club, Theewaterkloof Dam. The confirmation of The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Foreign Beggars DJ Set AND Everything Everything is sure to kick-start your summer festival schedule.

Everything Everything are a British alternative rock band that formed in late 2007, that originate from Tynedale, Kent and Guernsey,  and reside in Manchester. The band has received critical acclaim for their 2 albums ‘Man Alive’ & ‘Arc’ featuring hit singles ‘Kemosabe’ & ‘Cough Cough’.  ’Arc’ was released on 14 January 2013, and debuted at number 5 on the UK album chart. The album was hailed as “another tour de force” by The Observer.

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus play melodic hard rock that makes room for punk and power-pop influences. Frontman Ronnie Winter’s emotional vocals get the band classified as emo by some, but their brand of earnest, angsty rock is more closely aligned to that of groups like Hoobastank or Linkin Park. RJA formed in 2003 near Jacksonville, Florida went through several incarnations before finalizing its lineup: singer Ronnie Winter, guitarists Elias Reidy and Duke Kitchens, bassist Joey Westwood and drummer Jon Wilkes. RJA will be bringing you the best offerings over all 4 of their albums. Be prepared to have your mind blown…

Foreign Beggars (DJ Set) Clocking up over 100 shows a year, Foreign Beggars have touched down on just about every continent, supporting the likes of The Prodigy, Amy Winehouse, Snoop Dogg and the Wu Tang Clan along the way. Their legendary live show has left crowds fevered and frenzied as the group seamlessly blend grime, dubstep, drum and bass and rap music. One third of the Foreign Beggar collective, DJ Nonames is a well-respected member of London’s scratch community, whose ability to treat the turntables as an instrument instead of a gimmick is rarely matched.  Previously supporting the likes of Talib Kwali and appearing at the Underground Music Awards alongside Dizzee Rascal, Nonames recorded the scratches for Damon Albarn’s massively successful Gorillaz project. Nonames brings a remarkable level of spontaneity and improvisation to the freestyle element of the Foreign Beggar Live act.

In addition to the prestigious international acts this year Synergy Live also includes the cream of SA talents, Desmond & The Tutu’s, Gangs of Ballet, Gangsterdom, Goodnight Wembley, Iso, Naming James and Zebra & Giraffe on the Mainstage.

The RedBull Studio Live Stage presents MIZI, Das Kapital, David & Goliath, Half & Half. Musical Chairs vs Nubuck, P.H.Fat and Rude One, with the Mainstay Beach Bar graces BDMI, Behr, lucky Ntuli, Marcela, Reezo and many more…..
