Four-time BRIT Award nominee John Newman dazzled his South African fans who came out in their thousands in Cape Town and Joburg to see him perform his hit singles ‘Losing Sleep’, ‘Love Me Again’ and ‘Cheating’ live in concert.
The soul-inspired muso had fans in awe of his unique on-stage performance, rated as one of the best visual shows in the world at the moment. The 23 year-old entertainer lived up to expectations as he and the fans dressed the part, got their swing on and reveled in an unforgettable, roaring, swinging concert experience.
Acclaimed rock band, ISO, was the supporting act in Cape Town and brought an extra special set to the show, which fitted perfectly with the big style and sound of this one-night only concert. DJ Honey Bee was on the decks between acts with electro-swing beats, to keep the crowd on their feet.
One night later at Joburg’s edgy Town Hall Lane, chart-topping band Beatenberg brought a fresh performance of their hit track, ‘Pluto(Remember You)’ to the elated crowd. Complementing the hyped atmosphere, the king of swing, DJ Michael Lesar, was on the decks throughout the night.
Seed Experiences has set out to revive Cape Town’s Good Hope Centre as a local epicenter of music and entertainment in the city – and the nostalgic venue was transformed into what could only be described as a world of pizazz and glamour. Likewise, Newtown’s Town Hall Lane, known for its grunge and street artwork, took on a vintage twist transporting the crowd back to the suave swing era.
